PRIVACY POLICY
Last Updated: 6/19/2026
PLAYSTRUCK is a studio for cognitive wellbeing. We take privacy seriously because the work we do — assessments, self-knowledge tools, and care for caregivers — only works if the people using it trust us with the information they share. This policy explains, in plain English, what we collect, why, and what choices you have.
1. Who We Are
This Privacy Policy applies to PLAYSTRUCK LLC ("PLAYSTRUCK," "we," "us," or "our") and the websites, products, assessments, and services we operate — including playstruck.com, thedoodlechallenge.com, the Companion App, and any related digital or physical Playtools™. PLAYSTRUCK is headquartered in Rochester, NY, with operations in Los Angeles, CA.
2. The Short Version
We do not sell your personal information. Period. We collect only what we need to deliver the products, assessments, and communications you've asked for. We share data only with vetted service providers who help us run the business, and only the minimum they need. You can request access, correction, or deletion of your data at any time.
3. Information We Collect
Information you give us directly:
-
Account & order information: name, email, billing and shipping addresses, phone number (if provided), payment information (processed by our payment processor, not stored by us).
-
Assessment responses: answers you provide to KLS™, The Well Played Life™, the free mini-assessment, or any other PLAYSTRUCK assessment.
-
Communications: messages you send via contact forms, email, the certification waitlist, the investor inquiry channel, customer support, and any feedback you share.
-
Marketing preferences: email subscription status and topic preferences.
Information collected automatically when you use our sites:
-
Usage data: pages viewed, time on page, referring source, approximate location (city/region level), device type, browser type, and operating system.
-
Cookies & similar technologies: see Section 8 below.
4. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
-
Process orders, deliver Playtools™, and provide customer service.
-
Deliver assessment results and the personalized outputs you've paid for or signed up for.
-
Send the emails you've opted into (newsletters, Big Ideas, certification updates, etc.) — never marketing emails you haven't opted into.
-
Improve our products, methodology, and site — including aggregated, de-identified analysis of how assessments perform.
-
Comply with legal obligations and protect against fraud and abuse.
5. How We Share Information
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share information only with:
-
Service providers who help us operate — payment processors, shipping carriers, email delivery, hosting, analytics, and customer support tools. Each is contractually bound to protect your data and use it only for the services they provide to us.
-
Legal authorities when required by law, subpoena, court order, or to protect rights, safety, or property.
-
Business transfers — if PLAYSTRUCK is acquired or merges with another company, your information may transfer as part of that transaction. You'll be notified, and any new owner must honor this policy or get fresh consent.
We never share your information with advertisers, data brokers, or anyone using it to target you with ads.
6. Your Rights
Regardless of where you live, you can ask us to:
-
Access the personal information we hold about you.
-
Correct information that's inaccurate or incomplete.
-
Delete your information (with limited exceptions for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention purposes).
-
Export a portable copy of your data.
-
Unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time (link in every email, or email us).
Email privacy@playstruck.com to make any of these requests. We respond within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request.
7. California, EU/UK, and Other Regional Rights
California residents (CCPA/CPRA): You have the right to know what categories of personal information we collect, the right to delete, the right to correct, the right to opt out of any "sale" or "sharing" of personal information (we don't do either), and the right to non-discrimination for exercising these rights.
EU/EEA/UK residents (GDPR/UK-GDPR): You have the additional rights of restriction of processing, objection to processing, and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Our legal basis for processing is generally (a) performance of a contract, (b) consent (which you may withdraw), or (c) legitimate interests in running our business.
Email privacy@playstruck.com to exercise any regional rights.
8. Cookies & Tracking
We use a small set of essential cookies (to keep you logged in, remember preferences, and protect against fraud) and standard analytics cookies (to understand which pages are visited and how the site performs). We do not use third-party advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, or cross-site behavioral tracking. You can disable cookies in your browser without affecting most site functionality.
9. Data Retention
We keep your information only as long as needed to deliver the service you signed up for, comply with legal obligations (e.g., tax records for 7 years), or resolve disputes. Assessment responses are retained as long as you maintain an account; once you request deletion, we delete or de-identify them within 30 days unless retention is required by law.
10. Children & Minors
Our assessments, the Companion App, and our online accounts are intended for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under 16 where applicable). If you believe a minor has provided us with information, contact us at privacy@playstruck.com and we will delete it. Caregivers may use physical Playtools™ with children — but no data from those analog interactions is collected.
11. Security
We use industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical safeguards — including TLS encryption, secure payment processing, access controls, and regular review of our practices. No system is 100% secure, but we take this seriously. If we ever experience a data breach affecting your information, we'll notify you and applicable authorities as required by law.
12. International Data Transfers
PLAYSTRUCK is based in the United States. If you access our services from outside the US, your information will be transferred to and processed in the US, where data-protection law may differ from your home jurisdiction. By using our services, you consent to this transfer.
13. Changes To This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last Updated" date at the top reflects the most recent change. For material changes, we'll notify you by email (if you have an account) or with a prominent notice on the site before the changes take effect.
