A Playtool™ Is An Invitation To Play.
A Playtool™ is an open-ended engagement system defined by the skills it helps people practice through play.
The world doesn't need another toy, app, or puzzle. It needs tools built for how people actually are: multiple things at once, at every age, on or off screen, together or alone.
Whether physical, digital, or hybrid, a Playtool™ engages the individual and the group. It strengthens how different parts of the brain work together, not one isolated slice of it. And it has to earn the name: eight criteria, one standard, no exceptions.
The format isn't what makes something a Playtool™.
The intention does.
The Need To Be Human.
How did our brains originally develop, learn, and connect?
Since the Industrial Revolution, we’ve compared ourselves to the latest technology: cogs in a machine, the engine of a car. Now we relate everything to computers like our brains are “processors.” We even try to incorporate “hacks” into our everyday lives.
Playtools™ build better ways to intentionally develop and practice our invaluable, deeply human skills—collaboration, adaptability, creativity, curiosity, resilience, connection— no matter your age, starting skill level, or neurotype.
The Playtool™
Standard
To be considered a Playtool™, it must meet a defined and documented standard, each one built to strengthen one or more eight foundational skills based in cognitive anthropology, learning and neuroscience, art and design principles, decades of neuroplasticity and play research, which all map to the World Economic Forum's fastest-growing human skills.
Loved By Everyone. Designed For Minds That Get Left Out.
Some of the strongest responses to our Playtools™ have come from people with ADHD and people living with memory changes. They describe better conversations, lower stress, more creativity, and stronger connection, especially if they’re caring for neurodivergent minds or multiple generations at the same time.
And while people with neurodivergencies have found Playtools particularly helpful, anyone suffering from burnout, juggling multiple jobs and caregiving duties, are stuck in economic survival mode, or are experiencing what we call ID (Induced Divergence™) thanks to the attention economy, are also seeing the benefits of Playtools™.

It Started With A Doodle.
The Doodle Challenge™ began in 2013 as a simple invitation to see something differently.
Today, it is PLAYSTRUCK’s flagship Playtool™: an award-winning, research-backed experience built around a growing proprietary library of original visual challenges. Different challenges invite different ways of seeing, thinking, creating and connecting, alone or together, across ages and settings. Used in homes, on the go, in classrooms, boardrooms and communities.
And this was only the beginning.
